Most of us have suffered from some form of headache during our life time. Most common form of headaches are usually Tension headache or Migraine headache. But when does headache become an emergency?
You should seek emergency help for the following:
If the headache you have is the “Worse Headache of Your Life” which comes on so suddenly and becomes severe quickly.
If you have fever and stiffness associated with headache.
If you have confusion, personality change.
If you pass out.
If there is seizure with the headache.
If headache comes right after exercise or a head trauma such as fall or minor injury.
If this is a new headache for you.
Any neurological symptoms with headache such as weakness, numbness, vision changes, nausea or vomiting unless you have known migraine headache which usually is associated with these symptoms too.
